My Wedding : On the way to Bride's home |

After we got the certificate, we went back home, there was only less than ten days. After busy preparation, the wedding preload was started one day before the ceremony. Early in the afternoon, several of my middle school classmates came by to visit my home for the wedding. Outside of the building, five red tents had already been set up for making dumplings. Before dinner time, some neighbours came by to help us including both of my Class Adviser from elementary school and middle school. As there were so many people showed up for help, tt did not take long before making enought dumplings to serve for tomorrow's wedding.
Later in the evening, most of my friends stayed at my new home and helped to decorate. They stick a lot of birght red "double happness" symbols inside the room, such as the furniture, the windows, etc. In addition to that, they set up two colorful flower strips cross the ceilings. With all of these decorations, the sat on my bed and played poker games. It is another tradition in my hometown that the new bedroom can not be used for the new couples until somebody has "warmed" it up. So, they stayed untill passed the mid-night.
Laying on my bed, I couldn't fell to sleep quickly. I looked at the decorations on the ceiling, I recalled so many things in my head since childhood. Thinking about the ceremorny the next day, I felt a little bit uneasy. But finally, I felt asleep after exchanging several SMS messages with Yunxia.
Before my alarm was on, I was awaken by the sound of the firecrackers far away. I looked at my watch, it was only 5:00am. There must be some other weddings happening on the same day. Around 6am, more and more people came by so I got up and be ready for my day.
I dressed all of the new clothes, according to the custom, I have to wear red underwares, red socks. Also, in my last part, my dad helped me to finish my tie. Then we had a ritual of worship to our ancesstors and I had three big bows to my dear parents. After that, mom cut the red strings attached to a lock, which indicate that I have been released from an immortal who used to take care of me since I was a kid. Next, she put a red rose with label "groom" to my shirt and I was ready to greet my bride.
I walked outside our home accompanied with the sound of firecrackers. A team of cars had been waiting for me there. I was happy that they were all of my classmates's cars. I also noticed that except the very front and the end of the car which are white, all of the others are black. It means "live to old age in conjugal bliss". In no more than five minutes, we arrived at Yunxia's home since we lived in the same university.
